My mother says I'm a sookshmadarshi. It means microscope. As a kid, I was the one sent to find whatever had gone missing in the house, and I usually did.

Years later, as a UX engineer fixing bugs, I kept noticing the problem wasn't always in the code. Sometimes everything worked exactly as written and people still couldn't use it. That gap pulled me into design.

Since then I've designed products across industries, from making dense operational data readable for the people who act on it to designing AI products now.

Does this work for the person in front of it? That's the question I keep coming back to. The curb cut was made for wheelchairs, and now everyone with a suitcase uses it. Build properly for the person having the hardest time, and it quietly gets better for everyone.

Off the clock, I'm a hot-beverage person: coffee in a French press, tea the rest of the time. I've had a monstera for two years now. It keeps leaning toward light, and I'm trying to get it to grow straight and fenestrate more. Long walks too, usually with an audiobook. Philip K. Dick and Octavia Butler lately.
